Hello, I’m Olivia
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent. I’m an expat living in Seattle, United States.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United States wasn’t part of the grand plan. Like many international assignments, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much bigger.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Routine tasks felt more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Created Terra Quiet Studio
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
What This Site Does (And Doesn’t Do)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from life in United States
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever there is a real change
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored-review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in United States continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Seattle or anywhere in United States, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Olivia
